Do I have erectile dysfunction?
Answering yes to the questions below over several weeks or months is a signal to seek clinical evaluation. This page is not a diagnosis.
- Do you have difficulty getting an erection sufficient for penetration most of the time?
- Do you have difficulty maintaining an erection long enough for satisfactory intercourse?
- Have your morning erections become less frequent or less firm?
- Has this been consistent for more than three months?
- Is it affecting sleep, mood, relationship, or self-image?
Persistent difficulty (three months or more) is the AUA / EAU-cited threshold for a formal erectile-dysfunction evaluation. Cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hormonal disorders, medications, and mental health can all contribute.
